Description
The objective of this course is to offer the participant more in-depth insight in the concepts and functionality of the Master Planning module in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Operations. It covers the most important functionality in the module, including setup and process of Forecast and Master Planning. Topics include the main concepts, considerations and setups used in master planning, master scheduling, forecast scheduling, coverage groups , product item detailed coverage settings, and the effect that intercompany and multisite operations has on the Master Planning module. Attention is paid to the most important interrelations and relations in the field of Master Planning with the varying modules of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Operations.

The course uses instructor lead discussion, course material review, and exercises to help the participant to learn the extended use of the Master Planning module.

During the course attention is paid only to domain Discrete Manufacturing, not to the domains LEAN, Process and/or Projects. For these domains separate courses are available.

Prerequisites
- Knowledge provided in course Dynamics 365 Operations Supply Chain Foundation (DO-SCF) is required. Additional knowledge provided in course Dynamics 365 Operations Discrete Manufacturing Basics (DO-MP1) is highly recommended.
- Knowledge of planning principles.
