Growing & Breeding
In addition to growing phalaenopsis plants, the nursery has been engaged in breeding for 30 years. 'We are focusing mainly on new colors and shapes as well as cultivation improvements, for example to increase resistance to fungi and insects,' says Ter Laak.

Ter Laak Orchids has two greenhouses in Wateringen, South Holland, which together measure 17.5 hectares. The company grows 11 million plants annually and has a turnover of 34 million euros.
