Operations is one of the three pillars in the Agriware 365 suite. Together with Business Central and Analytics 365 we aim to support all business processes of horticultural companies. In this triangle, the role of Operations is to support people in the field doing their job better and collect data as real-time as possible to help others doing their job better with up-to-date insights.

Role based

We strongly believe that software is there for people, so it has to fit people’s needs. This need is different per role. Some people are working in the open field, some in the greenhouse. Some people need information, others register their executed work. So no 'one solution fits all', otherwise we would create a mobile-ERP system. And we all know that traditional ERP systems are not that friendly to use in the field. We are making life easier with mobile solutions tailored to roles and responsibilities.

In general, we can divide roles in groups of people, responsible for (crop)quality or responsible for execution of work. On a lower level we find crop technicians, quality inspectors, team leaders, forklift drivers, machine operator, etc. Where a quality inspector just wants to register the quality of a batch or shipment, the team lead needs insight in work to be done today, form a team and register progress. This requires another approach and in our opinion another app.

Our apps

At the moment we have three apps; Work, Inspect and Time. Each app is serving a particular target audience. All the apps are of course connected, so apps they share data with each other and with the master ERP system, Business Central.

Time

Enable every employee to register ad-hoc time on the workfloor, both job time and shop time. Anyone, anywhere, anytime. We want to track job/shop time as specific as possible, to enable detailed cost price calculation and performance analysis.

 
Inspect

Support Inspectors, crop technicians and assortment managers to control the complete product lifecycle of a job, batch or product. Capture, Interpret, Predict and Share data regarding quality, health, growth and yield.

 
Work

Support site managers, supervisors, and task executers in their operational activities. Supporting every work floor employee in his/her job, from scheduling to execution, covering production and internal logistics.

 

Operations as a platform

Operations is more than just a set of apps. Operations is a platform. The apps are part of this platform, but the platform is open to any other system to integrate. You could think of custom apps, and in the future Operations will also allow machines to connect to get tasks and report results.
