Target group

  • Implementation consultants with domain specialization Discrete Manufacturing
  • Core users with focus area Discrete Manufacturing

Description

The purpose of this course is to give you a better understanding of the basic concepts and functionality of the Discrete Manufacturing module in Microsoft Dynamics AX2012. This will cover the key functionality in the module, including setting up and using parts lists and routes, scheduling and executing production orders. Attention is also paid to reporting back production orders.

Financial integration and outsourcing of Discrete Manufacturing are also covered during the course. The course includes discussion, review of the course material and practice to independently expand your knowledge related to Discrete Production.

The course only covers the Discrete Manufacturing sub-area and not the Lean and/or Process sub-areas. Separate courses are available for these. For setting, executing and controlling Shop Floor processes, a separate Manufacturing Execution course is available, hence those topics are not covered during the Discrete Manufacturing courses.
