Queries in NAV: Publishing data

Target group:
Report developers, application managers and technical consultants, responsible for publishing data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV by using NAV queries, e.g. for PowerBI.

Description:
A lot of information is stored in NAV. But, how can you retrieve the data you need in a simple way? How can I provide a simple data retrieve from other applications, like Excel, or PowerBI?
One of the possibilities to publish NAV data in a structured way is the use of queries. These queries also can be used as the data source for charts on the Role Centre of NAV. Creation, modifying and publishing of queries from NAV is the subject of this training. We use the (classic) NAV development environment.

Prerequisites:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV as an administrator, technical consultant or developer
