From old Dynamics environment to Business Central?

Within Microsoft Dynamics 365 are several apps that make up an ERP platform. Broadly speaking, choose either Finance & Operations or Business Central. The first variant is suitable for large enterprise organizations. Business Central is the most appropriate solution for SMEs and larger SMBs. 

In recent years, there has been quite a shift in the target market for these two solutions. Business Central is the successor to Microsoft Dynamics NAV. However, the entire architecture behind the solution has been revamped. Where it was previously an ERP package (with customization), it is now a Business Platform with various Power Apps to support all processes. This brings more flexibility and functionality to a broader group of organizations. A switch from Dynamics AX to Business Central is therefore also a logical step in many cases.

Many companies have already asked themselves that question and started looking at alternatives. It may surprise you, but mostly these companies end up with Business Central. Also a Microsoft product, with all its advantages. And where the predecessor of Business Central (BC) was not always satisfactory, the standard of BC now seems to fit very well for many organizations. Especially in combination with Microsoft's Power Platform and the standard link with Microsoft Dynamics CE (formerly CRM).
