The intended audience is experienced systems consultants typically working for a Microsoft Dynamics partner that is selling, consulting, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics AX2012.

Description
You will learn the more complex program constructions with respect to Forms, classes, reports and the approach of the database. There is also a lot of  attention given to different development tools.

Prerequisites
The course Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 Development II (X12-DV2).

Content
 

• X++ unit test framework: create a test case; add methods to a test case; run a test case; build a test project and suite and Isolate test cases appropriately.
• Working with data: program optimal database access; caching mechanisms; temporary tables; parameter structures; integrating external data with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012.
• Classes: use collection classes, GUI components and application substituted Kernel Classes ; Extend the RunBase framework; using the Args object.
• Forms: create and modify forms: lookup forms, wizards, and list pages; modify form methods to control the form behavior; best practice on coding in forms; Make runtime modification of the fetch of data.

 

Visual studio integration: create a project in Visual Studio; write .NET managed code that uses X++ objects; Deploy managed code; debug code using Visual Studio.

Workflow: configure the workflow engine and a workflow; link tables to workflows using a query; create a new workflow type; implement a workflow.
