Description
Objective of the course is to offer the participant an overview of the basic concepts and functionality for Advanced Warehouse Management and Transportation Management in Microsoft Dynamics AX2012. Topics covered are differences between WMS and WHS, setup of products and warehouses for WHS and working with scanners at receipt, to issue and correct inventory. Also setup of loads and shipments, transportation planning, rating & routing, appointment scheduling and freight reconciliation are considered. Attention is paid to integration with other modules in Microsoft Dynamics AX2012.

This course provides a solid base for more detailed knowledge, to be obtained via an additional course, self-study or it can be integrated in this course at special request.

The course uses instructor lead discussion, course material review, and exercises to help the participant to learn using the Warehouse Management and Transportation Management functionality.

Prerequisites

• Knowledge at the level of course Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 Distribution And Trade (X12-DAT) is required.
• Basic knowledge of concepts and processes for Warehouse and Transportation Management.
