Target group

  • Implementation consultants with domain specialization Trade & Logistic, Finance and Production
  • Core users with focus on Trade & Logistic, Finance and Production

Description

Objective of the course is to offer the participant insight in the basic concepts and functionality of the Discrete Manufacturing module in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

It covers the most important functionality in the module, including setup and use of Bills Of Materials and Routes, scheduling and execution of Production Orders. Attention is paid to ending of the Production Orders. Financial integration and more advance functionality in the domain Discrete Manufacturing are covered in the subsequent course Discrete Manufacturing Advanced.

The course uses instructor lead discussion, course material review, and exercises to help the participant to learn the extended use of the Discrete Manufacturing module.

During the course attention is paid only to domain Discrete Manufacturing, not to the domains LEAN and/or Process. For these domains separate courses are available. Also setup, execution and control of the Shop Floor processes are not covered in the Discrete Manufacturing courses, but in separate course Manufacturing Execution.
